Humanitarian

Throughout our career we hav watched in sadness as humanitarian organizations have increasingly been forced to think and compete like for-profit businesses. Much of the energy of the organization must, for survival's sake, be focused on the grim business of fundraising.

One of our sources of satisfaction has been our ability to deliver cost-effective solutions to all sorts of humanitarian organizations. In each case, we have been able to find their most compelling theme without the need of an expensive marketing consultant ... and then put that theme on the screen in a way that excites audiences and opens pocketbooks.

We understand business and we dig technology ... but we love people -- and it shows in our work.

The Columbus Zoo - "Children Love Manatees"

When the Columbus Zoo asked us to create a Media Wall that would engage visitors of all ages, we decided to let children tell the story with wonder and excitement. We shot the entire production on film, including magnificent underwater shots and dramatic images of the environmental damage that threatens the very existence of the manatee. This cute, funny, scary, and beautiful presentation, with original music score and lots of emotional impact, won a national Telly award and continues to excite visitors to the Columbus Zoo.

Licking County Board of MRDD - "Hopes and Dreams"

Mentally retarded children and adults can dream, and they have more to hope for than many thought possible because of the work of agencies like the Licking County Board of MR/DD. This inspiring presentation tells the story in the words of those who know it best -- the clients and parents of the Board.

The City Of Dublin - "Kids Love Dublin"

Another in a long series of award-winning videos for the City of Dublin... We came to Dublin with the idea of letting children who enjoy the sports, the educational facilities, the social and recreational opportunities, and the civic amenities of Dublin, Ohio, tell their story in ways that parents and prospective businesses can appreciate. With lots of personality, exciting visuals and credible emotion, the children reveal what makes Dublin special.

Jewish Converts & Interfaith Network -"Who Am I?

What forms the identity of a child? Are children helped by attempts to raise them with two religions, as often happens to the children of interfaith? This 30-minute video tour-de-force explores the Jewish identity, and answers the question "Why be Jewish?" with power and sensitivity. Wonderful interviews of little children, tortured teens, conflicted parents, and Holocaust survivors, are skillfully interwoven with the authoritative findings of Lena Romanoff, our client and the founder of JCIN. Shot on location in Philadelphia, Austin, and Columbus.

Licking County Health Department - "Choose Safety"

There are 5 key things that people can do to have a safer community: wear their seatbelts and bicycle helmets, don't speed, don't drive drunk, and use a child safety seat. To motivate people to do those things, we found 5 actual people who were living with the consequences of not doing them. In gut-wrenching fashion, each tells the story of how ignoring those basic safety rules cost lives and the joy of life for many. The Ohio director of Safety Education said, "This is the best safety film I have ever seen."

The Columbus Zoo - "Queing Videos"

For many thousands of visitors to the Columbus Zoo, the Manatee Coast exhibit is their first encounter with the endangered Manatee. To enhance their appreciation of what they are seeing, the Zoo commissioned us to tell the story of manatees in general, and of the 5 bachelor manatees at the exhibit in particular. Outstanding underwater footage that we shot on location in Florida, along with interviews of Manatee experts, tell an emotional but informative story.
