Photography

Dick has been doing photography since 1965. Commercially, the skills he learned in years of avid and successful amateur photography were honed during years of heavy output for multi-image projects -- from 1980 till 1992, when video became almost entirely the medium of choice.

As a still photographer, Dick is well-equipped, with Nikon 35mm and now Digital cameras. Lots of experience in medium format, as well, having shot Hasselblads for many studio and location projects over the years.

In Dick's view, there are two vital ingredients to photography beyond technical skill. The ability to compose artistically on the fly; and the ability to capture people at their best, most "decisive moments", to quote a master. You will find Dick to be outstanding in both of those unteachable, talent-based skill areas.

Environmental Portraiture

Years ago Blaine Gutermuth, creative director for Swink Advertising (Now Fahlgren & Swink) stated, "Dick Kindig is a great business portrait photographer. He should be shooting for Fortune."

Fortune never called, but perhaps you should. These skills are still honed and ready for your contemporary communication needs. I work fast, know how to keep busy executives from getting irritated, and have a special knack for difficult subjects such as disabled individuals or children. Or beautiful women or old ladies!

My motto is, "Everyone is photogenic."

Including machines. I have extensive experience, and the equipment, to handle large industrial plant photography situations. I have shot surgery, printing presses, paper manufacturing, electronic manufacturing, reseearch labs, large industrial plants, warehouses, airports, farms, office buildings, etc. Always with outstanding, creative, visually exciting results.
