The
"K" Team
This
is a Free Agent Nation -- and your best communication providers
are not "production companies", but men and women like
myself who make a good living as communication specialists because
they are sought out again and again by corporate clients, advertising
agencies, and freelance producers and directors. You can count on
these people to do a great job for you, whether you choose to work
with me or not. I am purposely excluding the residence location
of these people, because like me they all travel, and producers
need to think in terms of qualifications, not geography. Whether
you are shooting in Maine or Tijuana or Bosnia, consider using these
people (as well as Dick Kindig) Back to

Best
cinematographer I have ever worked with. Absolutely knows his stuff,
is flexible and pleasant on set, zero ego. Perfect sidekick to a
talent-focused director, works fast, has great camera and editorial
ideas. Awesome gear-head operator; great table top food and product
shooter; versatile and very good with big sets and big lighting;
national spots and features kind of guy. Plus, he has red hair!

Excellent
film or video DP, my first choice as DP or camera operator for corporate
video or creative documentary production. Meticulous technician,
affable and fast, keeps his equipment in tip-top shape; tons of
film & high-def experience, carries great matte box package
for video and film; terrific Ikegami package, van, lights, sound.
My first choice on shoots west of the Mississippi at which I want
to concentrate on the interview.

My
first choice for cameraman on those shoots east of the Mississippi
where I want to concentrate on the interview. Scott has an excellent
package. He does not rent out his package, and keeps it in pristine
condition. Lots of Hi-def experience, excellent with jib arm camera
moves and as a manager of the crew; also, very good with clients
and is a very good interviewer ... about the only other camera operator
I have ever met who I would trust with this responsibility. 614-847-9066,

Ball, DP, video camera operator, FCP editor |
Matt
is young, energetic, poised, very professional, excellent with clients.
He's a lot like me except 20 years younger; a renaissance man, does
it all. I like to hire him as a shooter, or as the head of the B-camera
crew. 614-332-2698 |

Complete
multi-track recording facility, absolute whizzes at Protools, great
ear for sweetening and mixing, all the latest connectivity and productivity
tools, Surround Sound mavens. My secret ingredient.... sound is
the most important element of great communication; don't let your
video editors try to do it in-house -- it just isn't the same.
And
John Hetrick brings outstanding post-scoring capacity -- great tunes,
great editing
